Who are we?

The Adventure Online team currently comprises two founding members who each have expertise to add to the functioning of the business. We are adventure enthusiasts while also having obtained experience in our working environments.

Our idea for the website was initiated when we spotted what we feel is a gap in the adventure industry, namely the lack of a comprehensive and up-to-date online directory. Various similar sites do exist, but we felt that they are inappropriately marketed and are not well recognised within the target market. Also, details are frequently lacking or outdated and are therefore often of no use to the site user. We have a passion for adventure sports and were looking for a site that provided fast, reliable and accurate information and which focused solely on extreme sports and adventure businesses within South Africa.

What do we do?

Adventure Online is aimed solely at creating exposure for adventure sports businesses within South Africa’s borders. It aims to promote local tourism from national and international visitors and lend support to businesses that would not otherwise be able to afford online advertising rates. We aim to create an easy-to-use website that provides accurate and updated information at the click of a button. Your input into making our site even better is thus of critical importance, and we encourage feedback whenever possible.

In short, we hope to run a site that is accessible, affordable, easy-to-use and well recognised, that will take local adventure businesses to new levels. The implementation of a solid marketing strategy is a critical success factor and one which will form the focus of our activities.
