To become part of Adventure Online's listed companies, we have created two options to suit your needs:

Banner Advertising

We have recently developed the option of advertising through banners on our website. This can be done in one of two ways:

1. Activity banners

This refers to the placement of a banner advertisement related to a specific activity (e.g. climbing, hiking, cycling, etc). Under this option, there are three sub-options available:

• Client produces one banner that will be shown each time the activity is clicked
  
• Client produces multiple banners that will be shown in rotation every time the page is refreshed, or a new user clicks on the activity
  
• Client produces a flash-animated banner that rotates to a new design at a selected time interval

All banners are shown in 510 x 150 pixel sizes.

The below depicts an example of the location of the “activity banner” option:

R1000/month.

2. Front page banners

This option involves advertising on the front page of our website. This banner is in animated GIF format, and a different company banner will be displayed with each click, or refresh that takes place.

The following depicts the location of the front-page banner advertisement:

Within the above, there are two ways to link the banner to the client's full webpage:

• A full listing can be created on the Adventure Online website within the relevant activity category. This page will contain full company contact details, descriptions etc, and will resemble a static website. The maintenance of this page will be included in the cost of the banner advertising
  
• The banner advertisement can link directly to the client's existing website

All banners are shown in 490 x 150 pixel sizes

Front page advertising is currently available at a rate of R2000/month.

Adventure online statistics

www.adventureonline.co.za was officially launched in August 2007 and is thus very new in the industry. The visitors statistics that we have recorded to date, however, are promising:

Monthly hits: According to the pro-rata indications, the month of October will record between 12 000 and 15 000 unique visitors for the month, and we expect this to climb!!

From market research that we have conducted in the industry, we have found that businesses are generally unsatisfied with the results that they have gained from internet advertising. Often people feel that for the money they pay, the results that are achieved are minimal and difficult to measure. It is also difficult to reach the target audience through the internet as a medium.
